Ivrea rugby, still clouds on the horizon for the sports field. Today the Ivrea society still finds itself in a situation of great uncertainty for the Diego Santi sports facility in the San Giovanni district: “At the end of August the concession to our company expires – says the president Franco Rosso – There was a meeting with the Municipality and the competent bodies three weeks ago, but to date we have no certainties, despite the reminders of the case. What we want to underline at the moment – he continues – is that short-term concessions are not needed because they would not allow access to financing that could lead to new solutions as well as solving problems that have been unsolved for too long. Twenty days after the expiry of the concession there is therefore no technical time to activate a tender and deliver the plant to a company. I cannot deny that I am particularly worried – concludes the president Franco Rosso – because we have no news on the matter even if we are confident that in extremis the Municipality will find, as promised, a way to resolve this complicated situation “. We remember that the Ivrea rugby club until February also has a concession for the Alessandro Brunoldi field in the La Sacca district of San Grato.
Meanwhile, defined the start dates for the Ivrea players in view of the next sporting season. The seniors team, which plays in Serie B, will meet on August 23 at Diego Santi. Here are the dates of the other teams: on Saturday 11 September the Propaganda sector, Monday 30 August the Under 15 and the women’s team, Tuesday 31 the Under 17 team. This year all the youth teams will switch to odd years, as well as the propaganda categories . For the latter there will be no upheavals, the boys will not in fact go up in the category, but the same teams of last year will be reformed.
Also defined as the start of the Serie B championship which will begin on October 17 and end on June 5, there are a total of 46 teams eligible, four promotions in the Men’s Serie A for the 2022/23 tournament and no relegation. The formula includes four groups on a geographical basis, two of twelve teams, groups 1 and 3, and two of eleven teams, groups 2 and 4, home and away matches between the members of each group. At the end of the regular season, the four teams ranked first in each group acquire the right to participate in the Serie A championship in the 2022/23 season. –
