England soccer player Lauren James received a two-match ban for stepping on an opponent in the World Cup Round of 16 against Nigeria. The 21-year-old Chelsea striker will miss Saturday’s quarter-final in Sydney against home team Australia and a possible semi-final. She can reach the final of the championship if the English women advance to it. The punishment was imposed by the FIFA disciplinary committee.
