Turin, June 19, 2022 – Debut in kickboxing with victory for Elisabetta Canaliswho played his first match during the 12th edition of ‘The Night of Kick and Punch’ at Royal Palace of Venaria in Turin. Worn gloves and protective gear, the 43-year-old showgirl fought against the young Rachele Muratori, a 21-year-old language student at the University of Bologna.
The former showgirl triumphed on points under the gaze of her coach, the former world champion Angelo Valenteas well as of husband Brian Perri and of daughter Skyler Eva. Elisabetta could almost close it prematurely at the end of the second of three rounds of 90 seconds each, but then the sound of the bell pardoned the opponent. At the awards ceremony she pointed out that she fought like a hyena. “But no, it’s just that I was hungry, when I’m hungry I’m bloody”, she jeered.
For the record, in the long evening two Italian and two world titles were also up for grabs, even if it was the showgirl’s challenge that attracted attention.
