On the afternoon of March 27th, Beijing time, the 2022 World Table Tennis Major League (WTT) Star Challenge Doha Station will start the first day of competition. In women’s singles, Chinese player Qian Tianyi fought hard for five rounds, tying the game twice after falling behind twice, and finally 2-3 (9-11, 11-4, 9-11, 11-6 and 9-11) ) lost to the opponent.
In the first game, the two sides started the battle with 1 draw and 3 draws. After the 6 draws in the middle game, Batra took the initiative to score consecutively. At the end of the game, the Indian girl got two game points 10-8 and finally won the first place with a backhand straight 11-9.
The two sides started fighting together again, and the score went from 1 draw all the way to 4 draws. After that, the Chinese girl scored 7 points in a row, 11-4 to tie the game.
After 3 draws in the third game, Bartra scored 3 points in a row, leading into the middle game. After that, Qian Tianyi struggled to catch up and scored 3 points while trailing 4-9, forcing the Indian girl to call a timeout. After the suspension came back, the two scored alternately. In the end, Bartra seized the opportunity and surpassed the game again 11-9.
Outside the intermission, I knew that Coach Ma Junfeng asked Qian Tian to play the fourth game as the deciding game. The 22-year-old Chinese girl also did it in the opening stage. She led 4-1 and entered the middle game. After that, Qian Tianyi resisted the opponent’s counterattack and scored consecutive points, and finally dragged the game into the tiebreaker 11-6.
In the tiebreaker, the two sides fought all the way from 1 to 3, after which Bartra scored two points in a row and changed sides. In the unfavorable situation, Qian Tianyi called a timeout. After returning from the suspension, the Chinese girl chased the score to 5 and 6. In the final stage, the two fought to 8. At the critical moment, Bartra scored consecutively, and finally sealed the victory 11-9 and advanced to the second round.
