The Dinamo and national basketball player like Barella and Sirigu happy to show his origins on an international sports stage: “Proud to represent Sardinia and Italy at the Olympics”

TOKYO. The Four Moors flag appeared inside the Tokyo Olympic Stadium during the beautiful opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. All thanks to Marco Spissu, the Sassari basketball player of Dinamo and the national basketball team, who is part of the delegation of the 11 island athletes present at the Olympics.

Spissu brought with him the flag of Italy and that of the 4 Moors of Sardinia which he proudly showed to the cameras before posting it on his Instagram profile. On the social, Spissu wrote “Now I have achieved a little! Proud to represent Italy and Sardinia at the Olympics!”

Emulo of Nicolò Barella and Salvatore Sirigu who had shown the Sardinian banner with the European Cup at the end of the final won against England. It certainly fills all Sardinians with pride that high level athletes at the right time do not forget their origins by waving the flag of the whole island. (edited by enrico gaviano)
