Marcus Stroman after his second start with the Yankees: “I’m very confident”

Marcus Stroman continues to impress in his second Spring Training start with the New York Yankees. The talented pitcher showcased his skills by pitching four shutout innings against the Baltimore Orioles, only allowing two hits. Stroman’s preseason stats now stand at 0-1 with a 2.84 ERA in 6.1 innings of work.

“I am comfortable with myself as a person. I am very confident in who I am,” Stroman told journalist Matthew Postins. “I’m very confident every time I go out on the mound, because I know the work I’ve done my whole life.”

The 32-year-old right-hander signed with the Yankees in January for two seasons and $37 million. The team’s management and manager Aaron Boone see Stroman as a valuable addition to the rotation, providing support to ace Gerrit Cole.

“I feel like he’s where he wants to be. He’s fit in very well in our clubhouse,” Boone said of Stroman, who seems to be settling in nicely with his new team.

Fans and analysts alike are excited to see what Stroman will bring to the Yankees this season, as he continues to showcase his talent and determination on the mound.
