Bologna, April 29, 2022 – After the extension of the mask obligation until June 15thin an order issued yesterday by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranzawhich contains the recommendation to use the masks in public indoor places or places open to the public against the Covid without however foreseeing any specific obligationthe Minister for Public Administration, Renato Brunettasigned a circular addressed to all public administrations.
This circular contains general indications for a correct and homogeneous application of the order of Minister Speranza in public workplaces. It will be the responsibility of each administration to promptly impart the necessary operational measures, taking into account the concrete conditions of the workplace and of methods of carrying out the work performance of its employees.
Ffp2 in public offices: registered mail
The use of Ffp2 masks in public offices “is recommendedin particular, for the staff in contact with the public devoid of suitable protective barriers, for who is in line at the canteen or in others common areasfor those who share a room with ‘fragile’ staff, in elevators and in cases where the spaces cannot exclude crowds. “It can be read in circular issued on the use of the mask in public offices by the Ministry of Public Administration. There mask is recommended – according to what we read – for personnel who perform the service in rooms shared with one or more workers, even if there are only two of them, unless there are spaces that avoid crowding but also during face-to-face meetings. It should still be used if you are in the queue, even at bar or for enter the office and “in the presence of any symptomatology concerning the respiratory tract”.
Mask at work in open or uncrowded environments: not necessary
The protective devices they are not necessary – clarifies the circular – in case of outdoor activityin case of availability of a single room for the employee, in large roomsalso common (eg. corridors, stairways) in which there is no crowding or a reasonable interpersonal distance is maintained. “Each administration – concludes the circular – will therefore have to adopt the measures it deems most adherent to the needs of health and safety in the workplace, obviously taking into account both the evolution of the epidemiological context and the health requirements that may be adopted, also in local level, by the competent authorities “.
Ffp2 mask: where it is still mandatory
The extension until June 15 serves to keep the level of attention high in some specific places. So it will still be mandatory hold the Ffp2 mask on public transportin discos, cinema, stages, hospitals. Here is the complete list.
Means of transport
Compulsory mask until June 15 on trains, airplanes, ships, ferries, but also buses, trams, subways and school buses.
Theaters, cinemas, stadiums
If the shows or events are indoors, the mask is mandatory. So you have to wear it to attend live performances or indoor concerts, as well as for theatrical performances. Same thing for indoor sporting events.
School
In the schools the rules don’t change. It will be necessary to keep the mask until the end of the school year.
Discos
The extension of the masks does not apply to discos. You can then log in without.
Rsa and hospitals
They are the most delicate places, so as expected, masks are required for both workers and patients and visitors. Specifically, the places involved are: health and social assistance facilities, social care facilities, hospitals, residential facilities for the elderly or for people with disabilities, hospices and rehabilitation facilities.
Green pass: stop at the obligation
From 1 May it will be possible to enter, without having to show the reinforced Green pass (the one you get with healing or vaccination) or that base (buffer), in restaurants, bars, shops, cinemas, theaters, concerts, sporting events, means of transport, parties, spas, swimming pools, gyms and game rooms. However, the green certification will remain in force as a document certifying that you have been vaccinated against covid. The only places where the obligation remains to show it are hospitals and RSAs and it will be like this until December 31st.
