The former defender promoted by the Under 16, who led up to the Scudetto final (lost with Roma) to his first experience as a manager
Ignazio Abate is the new coach of Milan Primavera. The club made official today the promotion of the former defender who last season, in his first adventure on the bench, led the Under 16 team up to the Scudetto final, lost to Roma in extra time.
Actually, the name of Abate was not relevant for the Spring until months ago. Then the wind changed, first with the dismissal of Giunti (with the bench entrusted ad interim to Terni) and then with the good path of Ignazio with the Under 16s. At that point the evaluations of the club – and also those of the person concerned – have changed, until the agreement made official today: “AC Milan announces that it has entrusted the technical leadership of the men’s Primavera team to Ignazio Abate. Abate, who grew up in the Rossoneri nursery, began his coaching career last season with the U16s, a team with which in his first experience he won second place in the Scudetto final ”.
