Lorenzo Musetti on the pitch today, facing Ben Shelton in the third round of the Masters 1000 in Miami and also trying to reach the round of 16 after the victories of Jannik Sinner and Matteo Arnaldi
Having archived Jannik Sinner’s victory in three sets against the Dutch Tallon Griekspoor (5-7, 7-5, 6-1), today, Monday 25 March, Lorenzo Musetti returns to the court in the third round: he will face the American Ben Shelton. It will be the fifth, and last, match on the Butch Buchholz with the order of play which includes the first match between the Argentine Francisco Cerundolo and the Russian Karen Khachanov at 4pm. The Italian will not take to the field before 10pm Italian time.
Instead, the first match on the main court will be that of the German Alexander Zverev against the American Christopher Eubanks (5pm). Followed by number five in the women’s draw Elena Rybakina who will face Madison Keys (seeding number 17). Immediately afterwards it will be Coco Gauff’s turn against Caroline Garcia in the re-edition of the final of the Forth Worth Finals. In the evening session, on the night between Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th March, the great protagonist at the Miami Open will be the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. I will play against the Frenchman Gael Monfils (not before midnight). Following, as regards the women’s draw, there will be the challenge between the number one, the Polish Iga Swiatek, and the Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova.
