THE CHARACTER
He is recharging his batteries in Italy, partly in his Salgareda Margherita Bianchin. An athlete with great prospects in beach volleyball, an excellent indoor volleyball player during her career, where she was also involved in university tournaments in the United States.
She grew up in the Volley Pool Piave. Born in Treviso in 1995, she is an athlete of the women’s sand volleyball team. He currently plays in tandem with Claudia Scampoli with whom he shared important successes, above all the 2021 Italian Cup in Igea Marina, on the Romagna Riviera. It should also be counted the first place, last year in the 1 star tournament of the World Tour in Sofia.
On the other hand, silver in the Italian championship dates back to 2020, always paired with Scampoli.
Bianchin, what are the traces of this past season, where did you win the Italian cup?
«Winning the Italian Cup was wonderful. Claudia and I wanted to establish ourselves not only internationally but also nationally. It was a positive season that must give us the push for the next one ».
Will you focus strongly on the World Tour in 2022?
“Absolutely yes. It will be really tough due to the new formula of the World tour, but these are decisive years in which we have to make the leap in quality ».
Can we talk about goals with a view to Paris 2024 or is it premature?
“Of course. It is our goal, to go to Paris. We will do our best to be able to take part in the next Olympics ».
Which tournaments would you like to enter in the world in 2022?
«Our coaches and the federation are considering which tournaments to register for, and the calendar has not yet been fully defined. We will do all the challenges allowed by our conditions ».
Do you follow indoor volleyball?Do you have a favorite team?
«I am more interested in men’s volleyball. I really like Padua, Modena, and Trento ».
How is Margherita outside of beach volleyball? Do you have a particular dream?
«I consider myself very studious. After finishing my second master’s degree in the USA at Florida International University in Miami, I started a collaboration with Sportlinx360, an agency that helps athletes with potential to obtain scholarships in the United States ». –
