Naturosa Bike & Co. Ragusa brought home two regional champion shirts after the last Sicilian Cup match Cyclocross specialty held last Sunday in Sant’Alessio Siculo, in the province of Messina.
Alessia Micieli and Aurora Distefano, in the Student category, second and first year students respectively, they showed off all their potential and managed to grab the coveted trophy, deservedly earning a recognition that definitively launches them into the context of this category as regards the 2024 season. an almost impeccable race conduct which confirmed the good form of this duo who were able to highlight, with expertly dosed and vigorous pedaling at the same time, that the successes achieved in recent times were not the result of chance but deriving from preparation specific and carried out in a very careful manner. But it’s not enough. In fact, Naturosa Bike & Co. Ragusa also achieved two second places in the respective categories with Erika Boscarino and Anastasia Micielwho, by a hair’s breadth, failed to obtain more prestigious results.
On the male side, it should be noted that Except Caruso, the new athlete who joined the team, was forced to withdraw due to physical problems. Not a good day too Giovanni Distefano and Flavio Schembari who had to give up just when it seemed like they were fueling up.
“We started the year in the best way – states the president Giuseppe Nascondiglio – even if, now, we are waiting for there to be other worthy performances at the next official events. However, if, as they say, a good morning starts in the morning, there is reason to be hopeful that we can obtain increasingly important results for our sports club.”
