Roma – Nightmare yesterday in Copenhagenwhere a shooting in a large shopping center caused three deaths and several injuries. It all happened at the Fileds mall, south of the capital, in the Amager district, between the city center and the airport.
What happened
A 22-year-old Dane was arrested and the police are not ruling out any leads at the momentnot even that of terrorism. The suspect allegedly acted alone, the head of law enforcement in the Danish capital, Soren Thomassen, told an excited press conference. It was just after 5pm when some shots were heard. Several people are shot at. A few minutes later the police announce the arrest of a person in connection with the shooting. Witnesses speak of a massive presence of the police immediately after 18, while outside the structure there is a coming and going of ambulances, with doctors and paramedics who intervene on the spot to help those present. Many the screams of those present frightened by the shots.
Tour de France reception canceled
The Royal House of Denmark immediately canceled the reception on the Royal Ship Dannebrog, organized on the occasion of the Tour de France in the country. The event was supposed to take place in the port of Sonderborg, where the Royal Ship is currently located. Crown Prince Frederik and Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen were expected at the reception, returning to the center of the capital to follow developments.
