Nightmare over for Feltre: beat Resana, salvation is reality

In an overcrowded Luzzo, the Feltrini start with the turbo (16-0) and then check. Only on a couple of occasions the guests manage to shorten dangerously

Feltre quicksilver. The J&W remains in the C Silver series. Salvation comes at the end of Game 3 of the playout play-offs against Virtus Resana. In a Luzzo gym full of public, the team of coach Damiano Scanu wins 73-64 and redeems the defeat in game-2 when, a week ago, Resana had the better with 19 points of advantage (69-50).

Feltre starts with the turbo and in the blink of his wings is on 8-0 thanks to the precision in the three-pointers (Camazzola scores twice consecutively) and the resourcefulness of Bettin from two.

Resana calls a first timeout on 11-0 (another triple, this time from Botti) but things don’t change when he returns to the pitch. Indeed, it is always J&W to make the game, so much so as to go up to the maximum advantage (a very round 16-0) designed by Cossalter and Gobbo. Halfway through the first quarter, Virtus Resana has yet to unlock.

Resana enters the game and manages to shorten it to at least four (19-15), a situation in which the first part ends. However, Feltre does not take long to return to a double-digit advantage (27-17 signed by Botti).

And the distance between the two teams stabilizes around ten points.

To tell the truth, J&W tries again to give a break, thanks to Camazzola’s return in the three-point shot (which he missed a bit in the central part of the first half) and to the good work of Cossalter (36-23) .

At the interval, there are still ten points of distance between the two teams: 37-27. In the end of time, there is also space for the 2001 Schenal class.

After the long interval Resana fails to get back in contact with Feltre who, however, at the same time, does not have enough rotations to take off and kill the game. The Feltrini try to stretch twice, climbing to +15 thanks to the excellent contribution of Bettin who unlocks himself in the three-pointer (making only three in this third set). When J&W tries to run away (53-38, just with a triple de number 21 from Feltre), however, Resana (who had only fallen below 10 lengths once, at 45-36) responds.

At the back of the game, the ten points that separated the two teams at the long interval are still there: 53-43.

In the last quarter Resana tries for the last time to reopen the dispute but Feltre manages to send the attempt back to the sender. The guests approach up to minus five (53-48) when the siren is 7 ‘. At that point Gobbo takes the team by the hand and accompanies them towards success. He does it by putting order on the pitch, but also by finding the way to a personal basket, both on action (the new +10 arrives: 61-51) and on free throw (where, despite some “iron” hit, he still manages to build, brick after brick, the Feltrine affirmation). The stands of the Luzzo gym explode when Botti makes the triple of +13 (64-51) which effectively extinguishes the residual hopes of a comeback of the host team. A few seconds from the end, on 73-64 in favor of the Feltrini, the two teams understand that they canstay like this. Feltre celebrates with its audience. Salvation is reality.
