Second consecutive year without the Canavese Ski Cup, an event that traditionally takes place from mid-January to the first week of March.
After the stop due to the pandemic from Covid-19 last year, also this season the organizers decided not to take to the track to compete in the competition in which many ski clubs in our area always participated, as explained by the president of the Canavese Ski club. , Giovanni Salto: «The Ski Pool has decided not to take part in the Canavese Cup, not being competitions in the Fisi calendar, or under the aegis of the Italian winter sports federation. For our part, as regards the winter ski season – continues Salto – we are trying to organize three Fisi races in the coming weeks in which all Fisi ski clubs not only in the Canavese area, but also in the Biella and Vercelli areas will be able to participate. Unfortunately, the pandemic situation linked to Covid-19 has also affected our business and it will not be easy at all to be able to organize competitions, but we will do our best, because in all of us there is the will to return to breathe uncontaminated high altitude air and having fun on the slopes ». –
