Tomorrow the biancoceleste team will conclude their summer mountain retreat in Cadore returning to the Marca. “Working in the mountains is an exceptional opportunity – argues coach Max Menetti, ready to face the fourth season on the Biancoceleste bench – Both the staff and the players can appreciate the natural beauties that are not far from Treviso, with beautiful views and a cordial and present hospitality, aspects that sometimes even those who have lived here for a long time may forget. The retreat helps to build the group, speeds up the interactions between the players and promotes familiarization among the children; furthermore, the absence of the heat that characterizes the plain in this August period has undoubtedly helped us after the first days of training in Treviso ».
How is the construction of the new team going? “We are working hard. When the time comes, the field will establish the validity of what we have done so far. We have not encountered any problems so far and I am happy with that. In the gym we are looking for the right technical balance pending the first checks. When you start a preparation phase there is always a great desire, we want to find the right alchemy that is needed for the whole season ».
The calendar runs fast, the tests in anticipation of the official races are imminent. «We are very close to the first engagements. Next week there will already be the first friendly match (Wednesday 25th at the Pordenone Forum, ed), the Super Cup will start in two weeks. However, these close engagements give many motivations to the group ».
Kapfenberg’s Bulls, opponents of Wednesday’s test match, are a sort of starter for Europe: the Austrians will also participate in the Bcl. «Kapfenberg already has a good tradition, we know it from having faced it a couple of years ago in a summer tournament. It will be the first glimpse of a European opponent. There may be some curiosity and emotion, for this reason we will need to be able to keep ourselves focused on our goals. We know that it will be a long, hard season, that we will have to struggle but we are here for this ».
The pre-season of TvB foresees two friendlies within less than a week: in addition to the match in Pordenone against the Austrians, on Monday 30 Nutribullet will compete in Camposampiero with Kleb Ferrara, A2’s team which includes the fresh ex Giovanni Vildera. The preliminary round of Supercoppa will begin on September 3 in Naples against the newly promoted GeVi who counts on the former Uglietti, Lombardi and Parks, continuing on the 5th with the trip to Brescia and subsequently on 7 and 9 September at Palaverde respectively against Germani and the Neapolitans. From 13 to 17 September, TvB will host the Bcl Qualifying Round in the Villorba arena: first opponents, the English London Lions; passing the round, there will be the Danish Bakken Baers and to follow the final against one between Mons-Hainaut, ZZ Leiden (they clash with each other) and Tsmoki Minsk. –
