In the 58 pages of the request with which Tarfusser requested the review of the trial for the spouses, the three “pillars of evidence” which led to their life sentence for killing with a knife and bar are first of all called into question. , on 11 December 2006, Raffaella Castagna, her 2-year-old son Youssef Marzouk, the little girl’s grandmother Paola Galli and the neighbor Valeria Cherubini. The latter’s husband, Mario Frigerio, wounded with a blow to the throat, managed to save himself thanks to a congenital malformation of the carotid artery which prevented him from bleeding to death.
