At Palazzo Giacomelli the presentation of the event reserved for under 20 Assindustria Sport: “Starting new synergies to help our young people grow”

. Great athletics weekend between Treviso (on the road) and Padua (international meeting at the Colbachini stadium).
The fourth edition of the Opitergium Trophy – European Road Race Under 20, a road race festival scheduled for Saturday in Oderzo, opens the international “two days”. Eight national teams are expected: in addition to Italy, France, Greece, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Sweden will parade in Piazza Grande (the presence of Macedonia and Moldova is still uncertain, due to the travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic).
Yesterday at Palazzo Giacomelli in Treviso the presentation of the event scheduled for Saturday afternoon: the men’s 10 km test will start at 7 pm, while the 5 km women’s test will start at 8 pm (prologue with youth relays). Guest of honor Massimo Stano, the athlete of the Fiamme Oro Olympic champion in the 20 km walk in Tokyo. The classic Oderzo Città Archeologica International Race, a competition for top-level athletes, of which the Opitergium Trophy, will be postponed to 1 May 2022, with the prologue in the evening. The president of the Nuova Atletica Tre Comuni, Francesca Ginaldi, flanked, among others, by the president of Coni Veneto, Dino Ponchio, by the federal vice president Sergio Baldo, also launched a possible itinerant future for the Opitergium Trophy: “I do not exclude, for example, that in the future it can become a traveling event to enhance different places in the province ».
The event (with qualification Label Race 2021 ”by World Athletics) is organized by the Tre Comuni and is supported by Assindustria Venetocentro within the framework of the renewed collaboration agreement involving Atl-Etica San Vendemiano and Assindustria Sport.
«The synergies to be achieved in sport are very similar to those made in the industry in the recent past – says the president of Assindustria, Leopoldo Destro – the commitment of our association will be tangible, starting from the event in Oderzo. We must also look at what is happening outside, around our companies, it is important to make children play sports, an indispensable training for them. We also see a great synergy between the Paduan and Treviso companies that come together for a great sports project. And if we are present in Padua directly with Assindustria Sport, it could also happen in Treviso in the future ”. At the moment, the partnership agreement with Atl-Etica S. Vendemiano (chaired by the entrepreneur Enza Doimo, for six months the company of the future Olympic champion of the high, Gianmarco Tamberi), will promote the overcoming of localisms, to arrive at defining new more attractive, strong and structured sports realities, thanks to the territorial technical centers that are being created throughout the province. For example, Atl-Etica has “adopted” some athletes from the cadet category of the Three Municipalities, while providing staff and technical support in the promotion of athletics in the schools of the Opitergino district. But the project does not end there: just think that Atl-Etica has already started redevelopment projects of the plant, donating a project to create new tracks and platforms for athletics to various municipalities. The company also dreams of the co-participation of local authorities ((the legal system of Atl-Etica allows it) to one day make ASD a sort of participatory in sport.
