OneFootball and Lega Serie A create an innovative partnership. The exclusive multi-year agreement offers fans from all over the world for the first time the opportunity to buy, own and trade the best shares of Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana in digital video format starting from the 2022/23 season. OneFootball thus becomes Official Video Moments Partner of the Serie A League, aiming to bring fans into a new era of digital football fandom. The new service is built on Flow, the next-generation blockchain chosen by major sports organizations and leagues around the world, including NBA and NFL.

The agreement

OneFootball, the largest football media platform in the world, will thus make available to the Serie A football community with over 530 million fans globally a multidimensional experience “that will take it from real life to the new digital age”, as the press release that accompanied the announcement of the agreement. Fans will be able to own, collect and exchange never-before-seen moments from Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana matches. The latter will include the highlights, from scoring chances to rescues of goalkeepers and defenders through to the assists and numbers of the players and the most significant moments of the game, as well as many goals and the incredible moments experienced by the fans.

Digital assets

Digital videos will be launched on OneFootball’s Aera marketplace, built on the Flow blockchain so that fans can get their favorite moments through the wallet Dapper. The partnership expects that over 1,300 new exclusive highlights will be generated in the next season of Lega Serie A. The agreement includes the matches of the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup. Fans will be able to purchase packages which, upon opening, will show them what incredible highlights from the various matches they have managed to secure. OneFootball has also acquired the rights to memorable historical moments from the Serie A archive.
