Archery
Elisabetta Mijno and Stefano Travisani they won the silver medal in the mixed team competition of recurve archery. The Italian couple were beaten 5 to 4 in the play-off shot by the representatives of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Margarita Sidorenko and Kirill Smirnov. At Yumenoshima Field in the Japanese capital, Mijno, 35 from Moncalieri, and Travisani, 35 from Milan, both bearers of the Blue Flames, defeated Mongolia 6 to 0 in the first round, Japan 6 to 2 in the quarterfinals and in the semifinals 5 to 3 Iran.
Canoe
An aggressive race was not enough a Eleonora De Paolis to conquer the podium: in the 200m KL1 kayak final at the Sea Forest Waterway, the Roman canoeist obtained the fourth place with a time of 56.226. Gold for the German Mueller (53.958), silver for the Ukrainian Mazhula (54.805), bronze for the Chilean Wollermann (55.921).
