The blue expedition to the Tokyo Paralympics won another six silvers and a bronze medal during the night and early morning. Five days after the end of these Games, 41 medals have already been won, two more than those awarded at the end of Rio 2016. In the launch of the women’s discus F11 (visually impaired athletes) the silver went to the bell Assunta Legnante, which set the new European record (40.25 meters).
In cycling it was the Lombard’s turn Fabrizio Cornegliani (in the H1), to the Apulian Luca Mazzone (in H2), Venetian style Francesca Porcellato (in the H1-3) and to the Marche region Giorgio Farroni (in T1-2). The twenty year old Alberto Amodeo, on his debut at the Paralympic Games, he won silver in the 400 freestyle swimming category S8 (physical impairments) while Xenia Palazzo won the bronze medal in the women’s 400m freestyle category S8. This is the third medal in this edition for the 23-year-old from Verona, after silver in the 200 medley and gold in the 4X100 freestyle relay.
