Last days of rest before the meeting of the Rhino of the Belluno Volleyball. Preparation of the newly promoted Da Rold Logistics in A3 will begin on Friday 20 August at 6.30 pm at the Spes Arena.
For many, the year will represent the first ever in a Serie A championship. For some, the one taken to get to play in A3 is even a triple jump, from Serie D. As in the case of Tommaso Pierobon, a free from Belluno born in 2000 who , after two seasons (one of which without playing games) among the regional teams, he was recalled to the first team.
That first team, which in 2019 had won promotion from Serie C to B, of which he himself, at the time very young, was part of it as a free second. Now, that the stage is national, Pierobon has the opportunity to challenge his limits.
«From an early age», he says, «I had the dream of playing in Serie A. And now that I have achieved it, it doesn’t seem true to me. I am already happy even before starting. In addition, I am interested in understanding how far I can go and what my limits are: it is a challenge with myself ».
The last official match played by Tommaso Pierobon dates back to over a year and a half ago: it was February 15, 2020. Since then, the men’s Serie D team from Belluno has not taken the field anymore, «beyond a friendly match with the formation of B, about a year ago », as Pierobon himself recalls. Who will now find himself on the other side of the net, together with players of the caliber of De Santis and Graziani.
«I know that, compared to my teammates, I am rather behind, because I have been stopped for some time and because it is the first time that I measure myself in such a high category. Two and a half years ago I was in C. And it was the highest point ever. Consequently, I hope to find a good condition as soon as possible and to fix something in technical terms. I am also aware that it will not be easy for me, but I would like to make my contribution. In any case, this season represents a kind of springboard ».
Pierobon will therefore be the deputy of Gonzalo Martinez, free even younger (he was born in 2002) improved exponentially in the past season.
