London, 15 June 2022 – After the Stuttgart ATP won against Andy Murray and the successful debut at the Queen’s tournament, Matteo Berrettini it does not intend to stop. Beaten in two sets Daniel Evans with a double 6-3, the Roman is preparing to face in the round of 16 Denis Kudlanumber 82 in the world rankings, fresh from the 2-1 success (6-4, 3-6, 6-4) against Lorenzo Sonego. It will be the seventh time that the two tennis players face each other: the balance is in perfect equality, with three affirmations each. The last time they challenged each other, the blue in the quarter-finals of the Stuttgart ATP in 2019 was right with a double 6-3. A precedent that bodes well, given that the surface is the same, that is the grass.

To continue fighting for confirmation as champion of the London tournament, Berrettini must have the better of Kudla, in the match scheduled for Thursday 16 June, with starting time set no earlier than 14:20.
