Horror in the historic center. Everything happens in the evening, when the lights of a very hot day, now summer, are about to go out. A little boy, just seventeen, argues furiously with his mother. He grabs a kitchen knife. And he hits her. Many times. He causes her fatal wounds. He kills her.
Immediately after, according to an initial investigative reconstruction, he almost tries to pre-establish an alibi, despite having committed the most horrendous of crimes shortly before.
So he looks out on the balcony of his house and yells something like: “Help me, help me! My mother wants to kill herself! My mother wants to kill herself! Help me!”.
The dynamics of the murder
The murder took place inside an apartment in the historic center, near the San Giovanni Maggiore ramps, an artery that crosses via Mezzocannone, in the heart of the historic center and the university area. In a populous and busy area like the historic center is in these sultry evenings, those screams, of course, reach more than one passer-by.
Moments of terror, of bewilderment. We look at each other in amazement. Then someone decides to take the cell phone and dial 113: “Police, run, come here now, something terrible is happening, hurry up”.

The firemen manage to enter the house through a window and then open the door to the police. It doesn’t take long for the agents to figure out what actually happened: the boy killed his mother. The minor raged against the woman with numerous stabs. The boy was found, from what he emerged, with his hands still bloodied.
Who is the 17-year-old boy who killed his mother
The 17-year-old is the adopted son of a medical couple. The police stop him and immediately question him to try to reconstruct in detail both the murderous action and the reasons that led to this insane act that culminated in the murder.
Previously there would have been no obvious signs that could suggest an immense tragedy like the one that took place in the ancient heart of Naples. The victim Filomena Galeone, 61 years old, worked for the Asl Napoli 1 Centro, was a psychiatrist medical director and referent of the vulnerable groups and home care unit, in a nearby district.
