Retired cadres visited and inspected the key construction projects of the 14th National Games
Xi’an News Network News On July 8, the veteran cadres of the Xi’an Municipal Party Committee organized retired cadres to visit Danfengmen Square and surrounding municipal supporting projects and other key construction projects of the 14th National Games. More than 50 veteran comrades including Cui Lintao, Fu Jide and Hao Shumao Feel the memory of the city together and check in the beautiful new landmark of Xi’an.
Danfengmen Square after renovation
Everyone drove to Danfengmen Square and listened carefully to the construction progress of Danfengmen Square and surrounding municipal supporting projects, an important part of the reconstruction and expansion project of Xi’an Railway Station. The project only took 18 months to complete and put into use, fully demonstrating the speed and efficiency of Xi’an. After the comprehensive transportation hub project of the square is completed, a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation hub integrating railways, subways, buses, taxis, and private cars will be formed. For the first time, “zero transfers” of passengers in and out of the station will be realized for the general public. Provide more convenient transportation services. After the completion of the reconstruction and expansion project of Xi’an Railway Station, it will also realize the historic leap of Xi’an Railway Station from 6 stations 11 lines to 9 stations 18 lines, sending 20 million passengers to 48 million passengers per year. The train station opened a new chapter.
The magnificent Danfeng Gate of Daming Palace and the modern North Square of Xi’an Railway Station complement each other from the past and the present. The veteran comrades can’t help sighing that as an old Xi’an, seeing such a big change in the “facade” of Xi’an, I am very excited. Danfengmen Square will surely become a beautiful new landmark in Xi’an.
Through this visit, the veteran comrades kept abreast of the progress of the key construction projects of the 14th National Games, felt the new changes in our city up close, and were more confident in the development of Xi’an.
