Sanremo 2022, prime time: the live broadcast of the Festival – Magazine – Sanremo

Rome, 1 February 2022 – Three .. two .. one .. The curtain opens on the stage of theAriston. The early evening of Sanremo Festival 2022, the second in time of pandemic, and the conductor Amadeus, at the helm for the third consecutive year, does not hide the emotion: “Either it’s the age, since I’m about to turn 60, or it’s the presence of the public: we missed you so much. Welcome back”. After a 2021 that will remain in the history of the event, with recorded applause, masks for the orchestra and flowers on the anti-Covid trolley, the theater returns to host the public. And the beginning is with a bang: to open the 72nd edition is Achille Lauro who, shirtless, with tattoos in full view and barefoot, intones his ‘Sunday’ together with the Harlem Gospel Choir, staging a self-baptism at the end, a tribute to his mother who today celebrates 61 years.

“Did you like my difficult descent?”. Immediately ironic and sparkling, in a long golden dress signed Francesco Scognamiglio, Ornella Muti is the first co-host of this edition of the Festival. And, with a slightly trembling voice, he presents the second singer in the competition, Yuman, which intones his ‘Here and Now’. Here it is to go down the stairs Noemi, charming in a long pink dress: sing hers ‘I love you I don’t know how to say’, a song “that tells a piece of what I am experiencing”, he explained.

Covers and duets of the fourth evening

Among the super guests tonight return to the Ariston i Maneskin (winners of the 2021 edition) and i Jellyfish. Instead it will be the first time in Sanremo for Matteo Berrettini, fresh from the success of the Australian Open. Then again: Raoul Bova with Nino Frassica and Claudio Gioè. In connection, from the cruise ship at anchor in front of the coast, there will be, instead, Orietta Berti e Fabio Rovazzi: the two will have a musical guest every evening and open the Colapesce and DiMartino dances with their ‘Light music‘. A vote it’s up to the press room, divided into three sections: paper, web and radio.
