PARIS. For the first time in its history, Dior will dress a football team. These are the Paris Saint-Germain of Neymar and Mbappé and the newly acquired Messi who, after the partnership with Jordan, which deals with the competition and training kits, continues to invest in its image.
The maison owned by the LVMH group has signed a 2-year contract with the club, during which it will supply the Parisian wardrobe. Dior will draw two lines: one casual and one more elegant.
The classic suits, according to Kim Jones, artistic director of the men’s collections, will be presented in shades of black and navy-blue, in a “shade created especially for the Paris Saint-Germain team”. Instead, for the «casual» version, there is a Harrington-style jacket, a pullover and a polo shirt with embroidered collar and recurring initials “CD Icon”. In addition, for the winter, Dior will also design a coat, a scarf in kashmir and a designer bag in black leather.
«With this partnership, PSG continues its pioneering foray into the world of fashion and lifestyle. The club shares Dior’s passion for Paris, whose global influence is strengthened by the creativity of the two brands, ”reads the official note published on the club’s website.
