**Speed Skating World Cup: China Secures Victory in Mixed Relay**

The 2023-2024 International Skating Union Speed ​​Skating World Cup Salt Lake City Station concluded on January 28th with an impressive performance from the Chinese team. Competing in the mixed relay event, the Chinese team, consisting of Sun Chuanyi and Jin Wenliang, secured the gold medal with a time of 2 minutes, 54 seconds, and 90 seconds.

In addition to the mixed relay victory, the Chinese team concluded the competition with a total of 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medals.

American teenager Stoltz continued his remarkable performance in the men’s 1,000 meters event, claiming the gold medal with a time of 1 minute, 06 seconds, and 32 seconds. Chinese player Ning Zhongyan ranked seventh in the competition.

The women’s 1,000 meters event saw American player Kimi Goetz clinch the championship, with Dutch players securing the silver and bronze medals. Han Mei and Tian Ruining of the Chinese team finished eighth and 17th, respectively.

Dutch star Rust emerged victorious in the men’s 5,000-meter race, followed by Italian player Giotto and Canadian player Blumen. Chinese player Wu Yu achieved a personal best time of 6 minutes, 13 seconds, and 09 seconds, finishing seventh in the competition.

The women’s collective start event featured a win for Canadian star Blondine, while Dutch player Schouten secured the silver medal and Canadian player Martel claimed the bronze.

The competition showcased outstanding performances from athletes around the world, with China’s victory in the mixed relay event marking a highlight of the Speed Skating World Cup’s Salt Lake City Station. As the competition came to a close, all eyes turned to the upcoming events on the international speed skating calendar.
