After the first round of the Piedmont Cup a week ago, the First Category championship (3 pm) begins this Sunday, together with the Promotion.
Starting with group B, home debuts for both Vischese and Strambinese 1924, with the Viscoese who within the friendly walls of Stefano Acotto host the Biellese of Ponderano, as well as the Azzurri from Strambino, at Giuseppe Bertotti, will meet with the Vercelli of Gattinara: two very delicate races because the opponents are candidates for the final victory of the championship. On the other hand, the new La Chivasso of mister Lami is away: at Bassanino di Cigliano against the Vercelli of Cigliano. The following challenges complete the round: Junior Calcio Pontestura-Pro Palazzolo, Serravallese-Virtus Vercelli, Torri Biellesi-San Nazzaro Sesia, Biogliese-Pro Roasio and Valle Cervo-Ceversama.
In group C, the only Canavese to start at home is the Bosconerese, against the newly promoted CGC Aosta, while the other Canavese players Montanaro, Bajo Dora, Vallorco, Colleretto and Mappanese will all be away. Definitely more difficult commitment is up to Mappanese, who will face San Maurizio, a team nominated for the final victory of the group, while Colleretto will test the consistency of the new River Pleine reality (merger between Fenusma and Quart) in Brissogne. Always transfer to Valle d’Aosta for the Bajo Dora, against the Grand Paradis in Aymavilles, while Montanaro and Vallorco will face off against the Turin-based Cnh Industrial and Corio. The round is completed by: Cafasse Balangero-Gassinosanraffaele and Saint Vincent Châtillon-Mathi Lanzese. –
