The 14th Winter Figure Skating Youth Group Opens with Beijing Players Showing Impressive Strength

The 14th National Winter Games kicked off with the start of the figure skating youth group competition at the Inner Mongolia Ice Sports Training Center Short Track Figure Hall. The Beijing team made quite an impression with their overall strength, dominating the ice dance rhythmic dance and the men’s and women’s single skating short programs.

In the ice dance rhythmic dance competition, the Beijing team’s combination of Li Xuantong and Wang Xinkang took the lead with an impressive score of 62.75 points. The Jilin team’s Lin Yufei and Gao Zijian, as well as the Sichuan team’s Liu Tong and Ge Quanshuo, followed closely in second and third place.

Moving on to the men’s single skating short program, Chen Yudong of the Beijing team secured the top position with 68.08 points, leaving Tian Tonghe of the Jilin team and Wang Zexuan of the Heilongjiang team in second and third place respectively.

The women’s single skating short program saw the Beijing team dominating the top four positions, with skaters Wang Yihan, Gao Shiqi, Xu Wandi, and Li Ruotang all putting on impressive performances. Wang Yihan clinched the top spot with 64.16 points.
