On the afternoon of April 30, the curling competition in the Hulunbuir Division of the 15th Autonomous Region Games ended at the Speed Skating Stadium of the Inner Mongolia Ice Sports Training Center. In this curling competition, the city’s representative team became the biggest winner. Team B, Women’s Team A, Women’s Team B, and Mixed Doubles B all won the championship; the Hohhot team performed well and won the men’s team A championship, and the Ordos team won the mixed doubles A. of laurels.
The curling event is the first competition event of the 15th Games of the Autonomous Region, with a duration of 6 days. The “15th National Games” curling event consists of men’s group A, women’s group A, men’s group B, women’s group B, mixed double group A, and mixed double group B. There are a total of 6 sub-items from Hohhot, Baotou, Hulunbuir, Tongliao and Ordos. 70 athletes from 5 league and city representative teams participated, and our city’s curling athletes participated in all the competitions, and the “15th National Games” curling event of the autonomous region ended perfectly.
During the 6-day curling competition, the athletes competed fiercely on the court. They fully carried forward the Olympic sports spirit of “faster, higher, stronger and more united”, and fully demonstrated the good mental outlook and competitive state of the athletes. During the competition, the Hulunbuir Division formulated a strict epidemic prevention and control plan, strictly implemented the “double closed-loop” management measures, and effectively ensured the safe and orderly progress of the competition.
The 15th Games is hosted by the Autonomous Region Government, organized by the Autonomous Region Sports Bureau and the Ordos Municipal Government. The Games will officially open in Ordos at the end of July this year and will end in mid-August. The “15th National Games” of the autonomous region has a total of 34 major sports, and our city plans to participate in 33 competitions with more than 900 athletes.
