The Guangxi team made their mark at the 2024 National Youth Badminton Championships, bringing home a bronze medal in the Men’s Doubles of Group B and claiming fifth place in the men’s team competition.
Representing Guangxi for the first time after their winter training, the young players showed their skills and determination in a total of 43 intense matches against strong opponents from across the country. Li Hongyi and Li Xuancheng shined in the Group B men’s doubles, securing a bronze medal after reaching the semifinals. Additionally, the duo, along with teammates Huang Junhao, Qin Feiyang, Wang Zheng, and Yu Shicheng, put up a solid performance in the men’s team event, earning them a respectable fifth place finish.
The National Youth Badminton Championships, organized by the China Badminton Association, serves as a platform for young talents to showcase their abilities and be scouted for the national team. With nearly 600 participants from 25 teams nationwide, the competition was fierce and challenging.
