Heilongjiang Athletes Shine in National Winter Games Alpine Skiing Events
The 14th National Winter Games, also known as “14th Winter,” continued on January 30th at the Yanqing National Alpine Skiing Center in Beijing. In the alpine skiing all-around competition, the Heilongjiang team demonstrated their prowess, securing 1 gold and 1 silver medal.
The all-around competition combines the results of the downhill and slalom events to determine the overall winner. In the women’s category, Zhang Yuying from Heilongjiang/Shanxi topped both events, clinching the gold with a total score of 1 minute, 54 seconds and 96. Her teammate Ni Yueming also put in a strong performance, earning the silver medal with a total score of 1 minute, 57 seconds and 43. The bronze medal went to Ding Jie from Hubei/Liaoning. Notably, Heilongjiang athletes claimed seven out of the top eight positions in the women’s competition. In the men’s all-around event, Zhang Xiaosong from Heilongjiang/Inner Mongolia secured 4th place.
With this latest achievement, the Heilongjiang delegation has accumulated a total of 26 gold, 18 silver, and 11 bronze medals in the “14th Winter” competition.
The success of the Heilongjiang team in the alpine skiing events is a testament to their hard work and dedication. As the competition continues, all eyes will be on the team as they aim for further victories in the remaining events.
