Yet another brilliant performance by the Ivorian athlete Giancarlo Costa who last Sunday ranked second in the snowboard-mountaineering competition held in Ovindoli Monte Magnola, a ski resort in Abruzzo.
It was the last test of the Skialpdei parks, a circuit that has been held for some years in the Apennines of Abruzzo and Lazio.
The competition was held in a literally fairytale environment, thanks to the particular atmospheric and landscape conditions, thanks also to an abundant snowfall the previous day. This meant that the competitors competed on fresh snow in a very special climate.
Winner of the test, with a time of 1 hour seven minutes and two seconds, the sporting director of the Italian snowboard team, Cesare Pisoni. The Eporediese Costa, however, did not disfigure and finished second with the time one hour, ten minutes and 21 seconds. –
