The Keralpen enters the Belluno Dolomites. “It’s the turning point for women’s football”

The Keralpen Belluno changes its face, and it does it in a great way. In fact, it becomes part of the Belluno Dolomites, from which it acquires its name, managerial and economic support.

The Dolomites therefore, one year after the impressive merger between Belluno, San Giorgio Sedico and Union Feltre, sees the birth of its own women’s sector. The first year will be a bit of adjustment, but in the long run the actors involved swear by sure growth. With undoubted benefits for local players, hoping for an increase in numbers.

PASSION

In fact, therefore, the club chaired by Paolo De Cian absorbs Keralpen Belluno and its members, quantifiable in about thirty players. Without forgetting the technical staff, managers and in general that wealth of skills and experience guaranteed by those who have been carrying it forward for some time.

“For us it is another step forward in our growth process,” says president Paolo De Cian. «I had the opportunity to speak with the managers and the girls and I could not help but notice an extraordinary passion, a contagious enthusiasm and more generally the deep desire to get involved. This union of intentions, we are sure, will make a notable contribution to the provincial football movement ».

EXCELLENCE AND YOUTH

From a practical point of view, some aspects still need to be defined. See for example the playing field, with the Keralpen accustomed in recent years to a constant pilgrimage on some fields in the area. However, having one’s own permanent home would give a completely different value to the work carried out. However, an aspect that is almost secondary at the moment, given that the Keralpen might not even have been able to register without the Dolomite agreement.

«I don’t know if we will have been at the start in the new season. Lots of expenses and few sponsors, because companies aim to invest above all in men ». To say it is the manager Chiara Tranquillin. “It’s a real breakthrough. From now on, however, we will identify ourselves in a structured and organized club ».

The senior team will take part in the regional tournament of Excellence, the basic category of women’s football. But now it will be possible to dream big. As for the Juniors, it will be evaluated whether to bring the most ready young girls into the first team and consequently set up an under 17 or 15. In the meantime, the intention would be to intercept that however large number of young people who have to leave the province, if they intend play at a high level.

«We are facing an important opportunity: the name Dolomiti Bellunesi can change future scenarios. At the beginning it will take a period of running in, but a collaboration of this type can only bring advantages to local women’s football ».
