The numbers already say it all: 2,500 baby athletes from all over Italy and 8,000 presences (including family members and carers) estimated for each of the four days, 1.7 million euros of total induced. And, to leave their mark, the organizers have taken care of the smallest details: trophies and medals in the shape of a cap, to celebrate the Prosecco hills, a Unesco heritage.

The gestation was complex, but the National Youth Meeting, a sort of “Mickey Mouse Trophy” of the bike, can – finally – trigger the countdown: the double postponement 2020-2021 due to pandemic has been filed, the event that brings together the future of pedal, small promises between 6 and 12 years, will take place, in Conegliano and Farra, between 23 and 26 June. The news of the 34th edition of the Meeting, three years after the last youth party in Matera, will be the space reserved for the disabled, in synergy with the Paralympic Committee (Cip) and La Nostra Famiglia of Conegliano. It will begin on 23 June (at 6.30 pm), with the evening parade in the city of the Cima: as in Carnival, children will be masked, interpreting the theme “Wonders of Italy-Unesco”. An allegorical segment that has always been one of the most evocative of the Giovanissimi Meeting: a special ranking is foreseen which contributes to the general.

On Friday 24th it will be the turn of gymnastics and mountain bike trails in Soligo, then on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th the road tests on two mini-circuits in Conegliano (with the Paralympic kermesse). The last day will include a cycling tour reserved for parents, embracing the hills of the Valdobbiadenese: routes of 70 or 110 km. The event, which is an Italian championship of the G1-G6 categories, does not provide for individual rankings, but for teams: certain scores are assigned to each test.

The organizer is the Treviso Provincial Cycling Club, the “operational arm” of the Treviso Federciclismo Committee: it represents all the companies in the area. In short, it can be said that the organization of the Meeting is on the shoulders of all the cycling of the Brand.
