The first week of work for the new Pavia coach Giuseppe Fiorito ended with yesterday afternoon’s session. In view of tomorrow’s match at Fortunati with the Settimo Milanese, last in the standings with 4 points, no inclusion for now from the December market (open from Wednesday). The feeling is that of a group that wants to react and must demonstrate it on the pitch ».

Can the piazza in Pavia be prestigious, but also heavy at this moment? “You need to have courage to raise your head and prove that you are from Pavia, a club that has an important coat of arms, which was in Serie C until a few years ago – analyzes the new Pavia coach what he expects to turn the season after a difficult start -. Courage must also have it on the pitch and prove it with the facts of having the attributes ».

Which team has the new coach found?

«We trained well in these first four days of adventure together – replies Giuseppe Fiorito -. I found a reactive team, physically ready, well trained in this respect by those who preceded me. Each technician has his own ideas and certainly compared to the Pavia that we have seen up to now I bring my own idea. Everyone has their own methods. I am looking for a player who must have more rhythm than the one I also saw on Sunday in Seveso. More intensity, aggression, more pressure on the opponents ».

Tomorrow the home debut for her on the Pavia bench. What climate do you expect?

«It is logical that the fans are disappointed with how a season that the club had planned to achieve different results than those achieved so far is going – explains the former coach of Vergiatese and Legnano -. But not only the fans are disappointed, the company, the team. It is clear that it is easier to get on the winners’ wagon, which is why I believe that even those who support Pavia should be close to us right now ».

Mr. Fiorito’s debut will be against Settimo Milanese, last in the standings. A race that never as at this moment is anything but underestimated with a third-last Pavia in group A of Excellence.

«More than the seventh, the opponent on Sunday afternoon, to be feared are the factors of a psychological nature, the confusion which leads to this race after the last few days – says Giuseppe Fiorito -.
