CASTELLAMONTE
England, overcoming France by 11-5 in the final, won the final which took place on Saturday evening 17 July in Castellamonte in the Summer 2021 five-a-side football tournament. The event took place on the Asd Castellamonte fields, organized in synergy with Favria Kickers. The participating teams took the name of the finalists at Euro 2020.
France had taken the lead 1-4, but an immediate reaction from England who recovered and closed the first portion of the game 6-4. In the second half, France and England fell, taking off in the score and winning big.
The goals of the final were made, for England, by Pezzetti (five), Margrotto (three), then a double by Berardelli and an own goal by Naretto. For France a goal per head for Bosso, Baudino and Naretto in addition to the double of Cristian Abbascià.
The final for third place, between Switzerland and Spain, did not take place. In the semifinals England won over Switzerland with a score of 6-2. The other challenge was decided on penalties: the match between France and Spain ended at 5-5, then the cocks won 9-7 from the spot.
