It was one of the fastest. But then she got on her bike almost at the end of the race and crashed at full speed onto the track and then ended her journey against the fences. During the Super-G in Cortina, a test valid for the World Cup, bad accident for Canadian Valerie Grenierfell at high speed and was forced to leave the slope, first dragged with a toboggan and then with a helicopter.
Grenier’s accident is just the latest in a long line of accidents that have marred the season, both women’s and men’s. To mention just the last few, yesterday Wright fell in Cortina, previously out of action for at least two weeks after a fall for Shiffrin, still the first season finished for Kilde, Vlhova and Pinturault.
