Justin Turner Likely to Make Decision on 2024 Team
MLB Network’s Jon Paul Morosi has stated that it is “increasingly likely” that Justin Turner will make a decision on which team he will sign with for the 2024 season. Morosi has mentioned the Giants, Mets, Blue Jays, and Cubs as potential teams that could sign Turner.
After spending nine seasons with the Dodgers, Turner played for the Red Sox in 2023. During his time with Boston, he posted impressive numbers, hitting .276 with 23 home runs and 96 RBIs in 146 games. Due to Rafael Devers being established as the third baseman for the Red Sox, Turner also played 98 games as a designated hitter, 41 at first base, 10 at second base, and seven at third base.
It’s worth noting that Turner declined a $13.4 million player option for the 2024 season, opting for $6.7 million in compensation. This decision has sparked speculation about his future team and where he will ultimately end up. Stay tuned for further updates on Justin Turner’s decision for the 2024 season.
