The Hammers did not do well in the Premier League, they are happy to stay in the top English competition. Now they can save the impression with success in Eden and both Czechs can be important figures in West Ham’s lineup. “Souček is an extremely hard-working player, he scored important goals from the beginning, he wins a lot of balls, he does the dirty work,” he spews superlatives at Souček’s address to Ujfaluš.
And it is no different, even when it comes to compatriot Coufal. “Cuf is a huge worker, he is in very good condition. That is why he extended the contract for another two years. Both Czechs are important for West Ham.” Journalist Lizec also agrees with this. “They are both essential for West Ham,” says the journalist, and believes that by winning the trophy, the London team could turn the season into a positive one and consider it a success.
Can the fact that there are two in the club testify to the Czech players? Ujfaluši can add his own experience of camping abroad. “How many times do you see each other every day at training, then maybe you see each other two or three times a month outside, when you sit down with your wives,” he reports. On the other hand, in the early days in Germany, he welcomed the help of his compatriots. “After coming to Germany, it was advantage, Marek Heinz helped me in moments when I didn’t know anyone and could only speak from school,” he admits.
And what about Antonín Barák in the service of Fiorentina? “He’s on the edge of the starting line-up, he works more like a joker,” thinks Ujfaluši, who noticed that the Czech midfielder had more offensive duties in his previous job. “I hope that his position will improve. But he himself expects more from himself,” he thinks you are a former representative.
He believes that if Barák scores eight goals in a season, he will immediately feel better. “But Tonda has already made a good name at the club, they perceive him well, he is hardworking, humble. There was also talk of a transfer to AC Milan. I think TOP form is yet to come.”
Lizec also appreciates the fact that Barák was able to establish himself in one of the TOP European leagues. “He settled there, he has a good name, and on top of that, he decided to advance to the finals in Eden,” stated the journalist. “It definitely increased his value that he scored a promotion goal,” agrees Ujfaluši.
