Today in Rivanazzano the conference of the tricolor delegation is scheduled, entitled “past, present, future. The Blue Jersey at the Six Days of Enduro.” Last words before leaving the space – finally – to the races.
About 650 pilots arrived in Oltrepo Pavese to compete in the race: in the team competitions for nations, there are 21 national teams competing for the World Championship, 14 for the Junior title and 98 for the women’s national ranking. The largest of the races, however, is the team one, with around 170 teams competing. The Pavia area is well represented, as expected: just think of the fact that only the Pavia Moto Club has five teams, in addition to other teams such as the Valli Oltrepo Team or the Valle Staffora Moto Club.
The Six Days of Enduro has reached its 95th edition. He returns to Italy eight years after the last time he raced in Sardinia. For the first time to organize are the clubs of two regions, Lombardy and Piedmont. A new aspect obviously also linked to the financing of an event of this type. The organizational machine, the sponsors, the interests that mobilize the enduro Olympics (as they call it) are impressive. The races will take place for three days in Oltrepo Pavese, then in Val Curone. –
