Kangaroos Mechelen very easily put Waregem aside on Sunday (87-38). In the first game, the Mechelen women won 62-86 in Waregem. Coach Arvid Diels’ team is aiming for a third double. Last month they already won the Belgian Cup.
Castors Braine reached the last four on Sunday thanks to a 100-63 win against CEP Ladies Charleroi. The Walloon Brabant women won the first game on Wednesday 57-94.
Castors Braine will meet Namur in the semi-finals, which, after Friday’s 70-57 win against Kortrijk, also triumphed in West Flanders on Sunday (58-63).
The fourth ticket of the semi-finals still needs to be filled in. Phantoms Boom won 71-56 against Liège Panthers on Sunday, two days after the 85-63 victory of the Liège women. A third game will follow in Boom on Wednesday. The winner will meet Kangaroos Mechelen in the last four.
The semi-finals, which start on Friday, will also be played in a best-of-three system.
