Copenhagen, 2 July 2022 – We are starting to get serious at Tour de France 2022 after the opening time trial in the Danish capital. Two more stops in Denmark before returning to France and the second fraction, although quite easy from an elevation, can present some difficulties due to its proximity to the Kattegat Sea. It runs from Rosklide to Nyborg.

Path

Departure from Roskilde, just west of Copenhagen, to travel to Nyborg, located on the island of Flonia not far from Odense. 202-kilometer long stage with three GPMs at the start. In order Cote Indelukke, Cote Hove Straede and finally Cote Standbakke at kilometer 84. Once the roughness is over, the part of the stage not far from the sea will be the host, first passing through Kalumberg then Kelstrup before arriving at the characteristic final towards Nyborg. The town is reached via a long bridge that crosses the islet of Storebalt to get to the center of Nyborg.

Favorites

It can be an insidious stage, especially if there is a strong wind on the coast. A breakaway can start but it could be an opportunity for the sprinters. In the event of a group sprint, eyes up Van Aert, Ewan, Philipsen, Pedersen, Kristoff, Sagan, Groenewegen and Matthews.

TV schedules

The stage starts at 12.15, the three short Gpm are scheduled between 14 and 14.30, the arrival in Nyborg is expected between 16.59 and 17.24.
