After more than a year of forced stop due to Covid-19, 5 and 7-a-side football tournaments are back this week.
From this evening, Monday 17 May, the Master championship will start, which has become… of age: he is in his 18th year. Organized by Bruno Cossano, the eighteenth edition of the 5-a-side football Masters will see many innovations at the start compared to the recent past: first of all, the most important, will take on national importance, given that this event will be carried out with the precious collaboration of the ACA, the Canavese referees association of the new president Luigi Trompetto and of the tournament organizer Mirko Garau, affiliated to ACSI, the association of Italian sports centers.
Another important novelty will concern the venue, no longer only at the 5-a-side football pitches in via Cascinette di Ivrea, but also in Montalto Dora, Agliè and at the El Gioviale di Burolo center. Four playing fields that will host ten teams, divided into two groups of five teams: in group A we have included Fc Tette, Fc Amstaff, Boja Faus Fc, Irons and Bar Le Bistrot, while in B we have Sfogliatella, Md Team, Asd Real Scorpion, Ultimi and Pizza Vip.
The tournament formula includes one-way matches, an overall ranking will be drawn up and the top four will make the playoffs. The tournament will last a little over a month, with the awards that will be accompanied by an exceptional godmother. On Sunday 23 May, the 12th edition of the Primavera Cup will take place in El Gioviale, again in 5-a-side football, organized by Cossano and Garau, while a week later there will be two appointments with 5-a-side football: in Cigliano the WhiteHouse Cup will be held, organized from Cossano, while in Perosa, on the occasion of the inauguration of the new management of the municipal field, in collaboration with the Pro loco Perosiese, Garau will organize a quadrangular of 7-a-side football.
