At Yumenoshima Park Archery Field in Tokyo, under an annoying rain, the blue of Dlf Voghera Stefano Travisani was unable to advance in the preliminary rounds of the men’s curved open. The athlete born in 1985, making his debut at the Paralympic Games, attempted a comeback that remained unfinished in the match of the round of 32. Travisani was stopped, after the play-off, by the Indian Harvinder Singh 6-5 (10-7). After going down 0-4 (24-27, 22-26) he won the third set 27-26, drew the fourth 25-25 and took the match to the shoot off, winning the fifth fraction 27-25. In the play-off, however, the Indian Singh placed a decisive 10 to which the blue responded with a 7. The adventure of Travisani and the blue archery team at the Paralympic Games, however, is not over yet. The archer of the DLF Voghera today returns to the field with Elisabetta Mijno for the mixed team competition of the recurvo open which will close the archery program of the Paralympic Games. At 4.40 am in Italy the Italian duo will challenge Mongolia (Demberel, Namjilmaa) in the second round. The finals are scheduled from 12.36 in Italy.M.Sc.
