The women’s event organized by Trevisatletica and Corritreviso launches the countdown for the 2021 edition
TREVISO. Treviso in pink gets back into motion. After the virtual race of September 2020, the women’s event organized by Trevisatletica and Asd Corritreviso launches the countdown for the 2021 edition, which will see the event return to the historic center, albeit with more limited numbers than in the past.
The date has been agreed with the municipal administration: the seventh edition of Treviso in rosa will take place Sunday 11 July. The appointment is therefore postponed from the traditional date of the beginning of May to be placed in the summer. “We are thinking about an organizational protocol modeled on the provisions of the Italian Athletics Federation for road activities – explain Rolando Zuccon and Enrico Caldato, presidents of Trevisatletica and Asd Corritreviso -. The idea is to make four departures, spaced by half an hour, of 500 people each. Safety will come first. However, we are ready to think about an increase in numbers if the evolution of the health situation allows it. Our fantastic partners have already confirmed their support, without exception. We are also working on some side events that will make the weekend even richer. The event will be sponsored by the LILT of Treviso, with which we have a consolidated relationship. The association’s activity did not stop with the pandemic: the objectives remain and Treviso in pink will continue to run alongside it ».
Treviso in pink will develop entirely in the historic center. The fulcrum of the event will remain in Piazzale Burchiellati, in order to take advantage of the large spaces present in that part of the city. To rewrite, at least partially, the path, which will be unique, and the management of the moments following the walk. Nothing impossible for an organization that in 2019, to try to escape the wettest May in history, managed to postpone an event with 18 thousand subscribers by two weeks, with minimum notice.
