Vince Perez, Leclerc disappointment: he is only fourth – Sport

Sergio Perez wins the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Formula 1. A breathtaking race. The Red Bull driver, with four laps to go, finds himself first after a tire burst from team mate Max Verstappen.
The Dutchman’s accident redesigns the podium after the red flag and the restart on the grid after the formation lap: Lewis Hamilton goes along in an attempt to attack Perez. Runner-up is an extraordinary Sebastian Vettel behind the wheel of the Aston Martin. On the podium goes Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri), fourth Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.
They complete the top-10 Lando Norris (McLaren), Fernando Alonso (Alpine), Yuki Tsunoda (Alpha Tauri), Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren) e Kimi Raikkonen.
At the end of the race, Leclerc declared: «I’m not happy but there is a lot of positive. I tried to overtake Gasly but failed. I didn’t want to take a lot of risks, even if I took enough by looking at the last two laps. We must not forget that we are struggling with McLaren, there were important points up for grabs. I saw an opportunity and I tried but it didn’t work out ».
