Viti’s own goal, Udinese beat Empoli in a friendly

by admin

ABANO TERME. Udinese imposed themselves on Empoli (1-0) in the friendly match played in Abano Terme (Padua), which knows the Serie A advance, exactly two weeks before the start of the championship. The decisive goal came at the end of the first half with an own goal by Viti, but there was no lack of opportunities to round off the score. Empoli has rotated most of the squads – resulting sterile in the attacking phase -, while the bianconeri have only made 4 substitutions.

Udinese returns to success after two resounding defeats suffered in international friendlies with Sturm Graz and Lens. All the new signings were lined up among the bianconeri – Silvestri, Udogie (decisive on the occasion of the scoring) and Samardzic (who entered the second half) – and also Molina, who has just returned after the victorious America’s Cup with Argentina. Empoli has still revealed difficulties in amalgamation and is waiting for reinforcements for the attack: for days the green light from Inter has been awaited for Pinamonti.
