Wang Qiang Wins Gold in Men’s 50-Kilometer Cross-Country Skiing Event

The “14th Winter” cross-country skiing event saw an exciting competition in the men’s 50-kilometer collective start (traditional technique) category, where Wang Qiang emerged victorious, claiming the gold medal.

Representing the Chongqing team, Wang Qiang displayed impressive skills and strategic prowess throughout the race. After maintaining a steady position in the first half, he accelerated in the final stretch, crossing the finish line with a time of 2 hours, 23 minutes, and 58 seconds. Baolin and Entmark from the Liaoning team secured the second and third positions, respectively.

In the women’s division, the Heilongjiang team dominated the open group women’s 30-kilometer collective start (traditional technology) event. Li Xin claimed the gold medal, followed by her teammate Meng Honglian in second place and Li Lei from the Jilin team in third.

The competition, also known as a snow marathon, tested the physical endurance and technical proficiency of the participants. The athletes showcased their skills in the challenging race, with Wang Qiang and Li Xin emerging as deserving champions in their respective categories.
