In recent weeks, there has been much speculation about the possibility that Carlos Vela returns to Chivas de Guadalajara, the team that formed him before he rose to fame with the Mexican National Team that became champion in the 2005 U-17 World Cup under the command of coach Jesús Ramírez.

After placing himself at the top of international football thanks to his work in the Tri and initially as a youth player for the Sacred Flock, Vela was sold to Arsenal in England where he had a hesitant step until he arrived at Real Sociedad in Spain in 2011 to show his true qualities that earned him the love and admiration of the fans who supported him. He has as one of his darlings, even though he left in 2018.

With his arrival at Los Angeles FC of the MLS, it was thought that the proximity to Mexico could open the way for him to return to Chivas or some other national soccer squad, but it is a reality that Vela has never felt a connection to his country and much less to the Guadalajara team, about which he has practically never spoken.

In this regard and despite the fervent desire of the majority of the chivabrothers to see the Bomber with the Guadalajara shirt, it was his brother Alejandro, who completely ruled out that there is any possibility of the attacker joining the ranks of any Liga MX squad, although he did indicate that there is a team he could reach if the stars align.

“EIt’s very complicated, if I’m honest. I think the only possibility would be for Cancún FC to be promoted soon and that he can give us six months or a year here,” was part of what former player Alejandro Vela, brother of the scorer, who is a director of the Expansion League team that is the current champion, told Mediotiempo.

It is no secret to anyone that Carlos Vela only sees soccer as a job, since a few years ago he commented that his true passion is basketball. For this reason, he likes to live in the United States to closely follow his idols, leaving aside any hope that he will return to the Flock, where he showed his talent to be one of the best Mexican forwards of the last 20 years.
